Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

Oversee day-to-day operations of the plastic waste recycling plant.

Ensure efficient processing and recycling of plastic waste materials.

Implement and enforce operational policies and procedures.

Staff Supervision:

Manage and lead a team of operators, technicians, and support staff.

Provide training, guidance, and support to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.

Schedule and coordinate work shifts to ensure 24/7 plant operation.

Quality Control:

Implement quality control measures to ensure the production of high-quality recycled plastic materials.

Monitor and optimize processes to meet or exceed industry standards and regulations.

Environmental Compliance:

Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.

Implement and maintain effective waste management practices within the plant.

Equipment Maintenance:

Oversee the maintenance and repair of recycling machinery and equipment.

Coordinate with maintenance staff to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.

Budget Management:

Develop and manage the plant budget, including cost control measures.

Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiency improvements.

Reporting and Documentation:

Prepare regular reports on plant performance, production metrics, and waste diversion rates.

Maintain accurate records of materials processed and recycled.

Raw Material Supply chain:

Co-ordinate daily inward raw material and manage inventories.

Conduct necessary documentation for inventory management.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance plant efficiency.

Stay informed about advancements in recycling technologies and best practices.
 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a managerial role within the waste management or recycling industry.
• Strong knowledge of plastic waste recycling processes and technologies.
• Familiarity with environmental regulations and safety standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot operational issues and make informed decisions.
• Budgeting and financial management skills.
• Commitment to sustainability and environmentally responsible practices.
• Stay informed about industry trends and innovations to ensure the success and sustainability of the recycling operations
