Key Responsibilities:
The role of operations Manager entails overseeing the operations and management of transportation activities across India. Here’s an outline of their responsibilities:

Operational Oversight:Supervising and managing day-to-day operations of cargo transportation across branches. This involves coordinating with different branches.

Team Leadership:Managing and leading a team of supervisors, coordinators, drivers, and support staff within the region. Providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and effective performance.

Vendor Management: Overlooking the Vendor Management Team and grow the vendor base and focus on improvement in relations with vendors. Handle Escalations from Vendors

Performance Management : Setting performance metrics, KPIs, and targets for the region and evaluating the performance of teams against these benchmarks. Implementing strategies to improve efficiency, reduce transit times, and minimize errors.

Risk Management:Identifying potential risks within the transportation process and implementing strategies to mitigate them. This includes developing contingency plans for unexpected events that could impact cargo transport operations.

Reporting and Analysis:Generating regular reports on key performance indicators, identify trends, inefficiencies, or areas for improvement, and making informed decisions to optimize operations.
