Key Responsibilities – Pricing & Procurement

Negotiate competitive rates with MLOs (Main Line Operators) and NVOCCs (Non-Vessel Owning Common Carriers) at both all-India and regional levels.

Maintain and update tariffs for worldwide destinations on booking/tariff management portals.

Liaise with shipping lines, overseas agents, customs brokers, transport vendors, and port authorities to secure competitive pricing.

Build and maintain long-term vendor relationships to ensure reliable supply and favorable terms.

Support the sourcing head in developing innovative and customer-centric pricing solutions.

Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive efficiency and cost optimization.

Share market intelligence and identify new business opportunities across units.
Inside Sales & Customer Engagement

Manage inbound rate requests from customers and overseas agents, ensuring competitive and accurate quotations.

Proactively reach out to prospective customers through calls, emails, and digital platforms to generate business leads.

Convert qualified leads into confirmed bookings while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Collaborate with commercial and operations teams to align pricing strategies with customer requirements.

Maintain clear and consistent communication with customers regarding rates, services, and shipment updates.
Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in ocean export/import, freight forwarding, pricing, and negotiation (FCL/LCL-Sea & Air).

In-depth knowledge of international shipping regulations and documentation.

Proven success in negotiating with ocean carriers and logistics service providers.

Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in freight software, pricing tools, and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
